I really want to try my hand at making some animated icons, but I have absolutely no clue how. If anyone knows how or knows where there is a tutorial or something, I would appreciate it so much. 

And today was my last final of the semester! I'm officially off for a little over a month, yay!

as for animated tutorials: i have this one, this one, and this one saved to my memories.

I feel like a complete moron. Normally I'm not so technologically challenged. I read all these tutorials and all I can think is "Huh?"

I made, or started to make, an animated icon and it worked, it was choppy and I had no idea how to smooth out the transitions. After awhile I just had to stop for the sake of my own sanity. And Photoshop's tutorial is *so* not helpful. *headdesk*

Thanks for the links though, I'll probably give it another shot soon enough, when the frustration passes ;)

that's why i have 3 separate links. the animated icons still throw me off, which is why i create one once every blue moon. the most frustrating part - making it fit LJ's specifications.
