I won the first icon challenge over at winchullivan :) Yay for me.


I got one out of two stories done, which is good. I think the deadline for the second is in about two weeks or so. I only worry because it feels like it has been so long since I've done any substantial writing and I worry it will turn out badly. Oh well, as my writing teacher used to say, sometimes you just have to write crap.

I've been going to see movie after movie it feels like. I rarely go see movies in theater any more but just in the past few weeks I went and saw Harry Potter, Bourne Ultimatum, Hairspray (which was so good I want to go see it again) and on Tuesday I'm going to mourn my last week of vacation by seeing Becoming Jane. 

Plus I rented Hot Fuzz, Fracture, and Vacancy. The last one surprised me. It wasn't nearly as horrible as I thought it might be.

The 27th is the first official day of the new semester and I'm conflicted. I'm taking a public speaking course. That can only turn out badly. The first chapter in the book we have for class is entitled "Why Study Public Speaking?" Why? Because I have to, it's a requirement at every darn school I want to transfer to. The only good thing is I had the chance to hear what other students had to say about the teachers I have this year and I've heard nothing but good reviews.
