spikeysgrl18: (omg yay)

I <3 Thursdays

My faith has been (slightly) restored in Smallville. Not only was tonight Rosenbaum's directorial debut, but it was Chloe-centric. Much awesomeness.

First off, Chloe is a meteor freak. I don't know why I love this idea but I do. I *really* do. And Lana wasn't terribly annoying in this episode, which was a nice change. I think the main reason she bugs me this season is for all her complaining about Clark keeping his secrets, Lex lies to her all the time and she either refuses to acknowledge it or decides to let it go. The hypocrisy annoys me. But at least at the end of this ep it finally looked like she's starting to take Lex's lies to heart.

And the ending, oh the ending. My Chlex-loving heart just *loved* it. I'm really looking forward now to the ep with Chloe and her mom. There's supposed to be a confrontation between Chloe and Lex that I'm just dying to see.

Chloe is the only one I truly love to watch with the Luthors. She's the only one that can believably stand up to them, even though she knows they are powerful and could totally have her rubbed out.

Sadly the lack of Lionel is disappointing. I know he'll be back soon but ever since they made him sort of good he just hasn't been used to his full potential. I know they had to make way for Evil!Lex and couldn't leave him stuck in the shadow of Lionel, but still. I loved Lionel because he was brilliant and ruthless, now he's just a shadow of himself, chasing after Martha Kent and being buddy-buddy with Clark. I like Mionel, but I really miss the old Lionel *sigh*.

I finally caught up on last week's Supernatural which was great. Sammy's hot when he's evil. But tonight, my god. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

OMG. Sooooo good I can barely contain the squee =D. Dean's POV was killing me. Sam in the bar had me keeling over in laughter. But my absolute favorite was the hug and "You're too precious for this world" speech. I love when Kripke totally mocks Emo!Sam.

Slow dancing aliens. Best. Idea. Ever.

I'm kinda glad they didn't end up killing the Trickster. I kinda liked him.

Bobby rules all. "You guys are breaking my heart. Now get in the car." Love him.

This ep was just too perfect for words.

Grey's Anatomy was better than last week, so there's that. I just wish they'd stop hyping these eps like they are the best hour of television ever. Really. I have seen better. Everyone has.

First off, Meredith isn't going to die. I think the only thing they could do to really shock me is to kill Meredith, but it ain't going to happen. I don't know how I'd feel if they actually did it. She's certainly not my favorite. Meh.

Addison and Alex are really my reason for watching and even though, when they actually say something significant to each other Alex just sounds totally sappy, I love it. "I'd know. If you were missing, I'd know." God I love that guy. Still not too thrilled about the idea of Mark/Izzie though. Partly because Mark totally loves Addie and partly because Izzie has been kind of obnoxious lately.

Did she really have to throw in that whole "I think you made the biggest mistake marrying Callie" in the middle of her otherwise heartwarming speech designed to give everyone hope? Really? Because it really just wasn't the time, not to mention more than a little bitchy. And Callie and George are cute, so she needs to lay off.

But any disappointment vanished at the sight of Jeffery Dean Morgan. Guh.

I do hate previews though that don't actually show you a preview of the next week. Half the footage was from the episode they had just aired. Whatever.

Now if Alex and Addie would just hook up already.

Oh, and expect a possible fic post soon, but not necessarily Falling Backwards. I'm more than 2/3 finished with the next chapter but the last part just doesn't want to be written.

I found Lana to be actually tolerable in SV last night too. It was interesting that they not so subtly hinted that she might be open to accepting Clark, if she knew his real secret. Although there's a fine line between "alien" and "meteor freak." ;)

What's frustrating is Lana shouldn't be as completely annoying as she usually is. But the writers are consistently inconsistent with her. Like, she refuses to handle that Clark may keep a secret from her, but she tends to ignore it when Lex just lies to her at every turn. Maybe it's because she really loves Clark more. Maybe she's just nosy and self-involved. Meh.

And yeah, you gotta love AlMiles, not big with the subtle. Although no one really seems to be anymore.

brave little solider!

i have been waiting for this confrontation since S6 began! AM and MR are great in scenes together. and i agree, Chloe doesn't seem intimidated by either Luthor.

SPN was so hilarious last night. Jared and Jensen were amazing. what was so funny to me was that you could almost buy Sam's story of the events, but Dean's were so over the top it was ridiculous *lol*

i squeed over Kyle Chandler coming back. i knew about JDM from spoilers, but had no clue about Kyle, especially since he's on FNL on a different network. i wanted more Addisex, Izzie is pissing me the hell off (she's thisclose to overcoming Derek as the person i most hate on the show), and i'm not really invested if Meredith lives or dies because i don't really watch for her ;)

LOL. Dean was just hilarious. Between the scene in the bar and then on the campus I was just dying. Whatever the writers are smoking I need to get some.

What was funny about Kyle Chandler was that I couldn't actually remember who that was when I was reading people's reviews before I actually watched. And then I watching and I was like "Ooh! Bomb squad guy!" And Denny *sigh*, oh Denny.

I used to really like Izzie so it's really bugging me what they've done with her. I mean really, was it in anyway necessary to bring up George's marriage while everyone is worried about their friend possibly dying?
