Christmas Wishlist

Okay, I've seen other people doing this, and it really seems like a cute idea. So here goes.

Step One

 

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

 

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

 

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

 

Step Two

 

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

 

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

 

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

 

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

 

 

1. Paid time/extra userpics for lj would be great. 
 

2. Fic in most any of my fandoms, more notably Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy (I can't get enough of Maddison fic right now), and Smallville. Crossovers are wonderful also. Doesn't even have to be Christmas themed. I can just imagine a Supernatural Christmas fic where the boys find out Santa is really a demon, lol.

 

3. Christmas/Holiday cards are cool too.

 

4. I would love anyone who could get their hands on an autographed pic of Jensen Ackles or Jared Padalecki. Or, you know, both. I'm not particular ;)

 

5. Custom icons. 

 

6. A new lj banner or layout, since I am sadly html challenged. Any of my fandoms would be great for the theme but an Addison/Mark one from Grey's Anatomy would make my year.

 

7. Fanmixes/music. I'm a music-whore, like that's a bad thing. 

 

8. Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, a DC Comics graphic novel I've been dying to get my hands on.

 

9. McSandwich Hoddie* (see below) because it's too damn cute.
 

10. Graphics to go with any of my fics I've written.

Um. Music. What kind of music? 'Cause I listen to everything (and really mean that, as I listen to everything from Broadway to AC/DC).

Are there any BtVS and AtS characters you can't stand?

I think you and I are similar in respect to music. I listen to absolutely everything, but for example I only have a couple AC/DC songs and I've been dying for more, so anything in the classic rock genre would be cool. Actually, anything would be great. Sorry, I know that was probably no help at all.

Um, let's see, any characters I can't stand...I don't really care for Buffy after season 5 when she got all moody and dark. I don't mind Anya in smaller doses, same with Cordy and Gunn. Don't really like Connor at all, at least when he was a teenager. That's about it I think. :)

Lol. Yeah, they are just too adorable together, I couldn't resist making that header when I saw those pictures. They do seem to grab and hug each other a lot...not that that's a bad thing ;)

No, it's not a bad thing. It makes me have slashy thoughts, though. Which is a sorta bad thing because the amount of time my brain spends in the gutter is truly astounding. :D

I pretty much like anything, I like a wide variety of music. Right now I've been listening to people like KT Tunstall, Goldfrapp, The Pipettes, Frou Frou, and even groups like AC/DC and Blue Oyster Cult. I know that probably doesn't help much, but I basically like everything. I'm always up for more music with a female lead singer, I seem to have a hard time finding a lot of that for some reason.
