Both Alfred and Robert ended up terribly off, but I felt worse for Robert in the end, for sure. Alfred and/or his twin more or less drove him mad, starting with the death of his wife. I don't think he would ever have had any reason to go to the lengths he did if it hadn't been for that. Then basically his life became about ruining Alfred's.

So the fact that Alfred got away with his life while his twin died for him in prison seemed very unfair to me, even though I don't suppose Robert was really Robert anymore and he was never going to be happy anyway.

I thought it was good, but I swear I figured out every plot twist about a half hour before it happened. LOL The first thing I noticed was that the gray, bearded guy looked very much like Christian. I thought that was odd, so I knew something had to be going on there, though it never occurred to me how involved it all was.
