I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you

How is it, when you order something online on Wednesday, and spring for 2-day shipping so that it would arrive on Friday (or at the latest Saturday), it is scheduled to arrive on Monday? I checked the UPS tracking number and they've had it since Thursday and just didn't get around to shipping it until this morning. 

Was in the mood to dye my hair this morning. When that happens, that usually means I'm going to run out and get hair dye straight away and do it before the night is over. Today was no exception. It's not a drastic change, naturally my hair is a medium brown and I just darkened it to a near black. I've dyed my hair nearly every color and this by far, for some reason, is my favorite. Only I found the perfect color, got home, then actually *read* the box which said it was only good for 28 shampoos. Ended up having to take it back and find another one. Note to self: next time actually look at the box before purchasing and leaving store. 

I was going to do that fandom meme that was floating around, but my attention span is equivalent to a gnat today and I couldn't sit still long enough. To prove that I am determined to make my life harder, I signed up to write a Lex-centric fic, due thankfully not til mid-October. And it's Jealous!Lex, which is always fun to write. Now I have two stories I need to write, but WhichWillow takes precedence since it's due beginning of October.

Been re-watching Firefly and Serenity the past few days. I love Jayne, adore Simon and Kaylee, but Mal is the best. Why, here's why:

Mal: "We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die. Huh? Look at that chiseled jaw. Huh? C'mon." 

Jayne: "Well, I think you might want to reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature."
Mal: "How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people?"
Jayne: "If I could make you prettier, I would."
Mal: "You are not the man I met a year ago."

And last but not least, Mal: "If your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you." 
Joss Whedon is a genius.

Oh, and winter_dreams86 I've managed to snag Rave Macbeth and will be watching it either tonight or tomorrow, so I'll be sure to tell you about it ;)
